The following is an outline of the human sexuality education program that will be taught in health classes. This is the 30th year that the middle schools have been offering a human sexuality education component as part of the health curriculum. The program is well-developed, taught by trained and qualified teachers and is sensitive to parent and student concerns.
Please review the content overview below. If you have any concerns or would like to review materials ahead of time, please contact Maeve Torres at [email protected]. or Eric MacDonald at [email protected]. If after review a parent or student feels that it is best to not participate in the human sexuality education units, Ms. Torres and Mr. MacDonald should be contacted so that alternative lessons may be developed for that student to complete.
